Project
Brouwersgracht 2-64
Along the Brouwersgracht, we are preparing to renovate 115 meters of quay on one of the city's busiest waterways. The location is in the historic city center and has only 6.5 meters of working space on the water.
Challenge
What makes this location especially complex is the continuous passage of tour boats. Space on the water is limited, and there are also many physical constraints on the quayside.
We therefore carefully coordinate the design with the neighborhood and the parties involved. The goal is: renewal without lengthy blockages, without affecting the streetscape, and with minimal impact on daily life in the neighborhood.
Implementation
Construction began in April 2026. The use of the G-kracht makes it possible to work in this narrow space without closing the waterway.
The equipment moves over the installed pipe piles, and here too we strive for a sustainable, low-emission approach with consideration for residents, traffic and the character of the site.
Result
The intended result is clear: a safe, stable quay that will last for decades to come, without compromising its historic appearance or navigability.
With this preparation, G-kracht shows that even the most sensitive locations in the city can be dealt with sustainably and efficiently.
