's Leliegracht Project

G-Kracht to renovate 225 meters of quay along the Leliegracht, a very narrow canal with limited street width on both sides.

Client

Municipality of Amsterdam

Phase In preparation
Location

Amsterdam

Size

225 meters

Challenge

This project involves a narrow canal flanked on both sides by narrow streets, with an existing safety barrier running its entire length. At the same time, existing trees must be preserved, making precise execution and space management crucial. This location is a prime example of where the G-Kracht truly shines.

Implementation

The preparatory work focuses on carefully surveying the quay, protecting trees, and planning the construction process to minimize disruption to the surrounding area and traffic. During construction, the proven G-kracht will be used, with particular attention paid to working in very confined spaces.

Result

The intended result is a safe, low-maintenance 225-meter-long quay that preserves the character of the narrow canal and its surroundings. This project demonstrates that the G-kracht method can be applied effectively and carefully G-kracht in locations with severe spatial constraints.
